The results of the 'Still life in B & W' challenge have been recalculated, due to the disqualification of the former blue ribbon winner for creating new image area. Congrats to our new ribbon winners!
I hope the "new image area" is not the area outside the white frame.
I don't think so, boosting the contrast on my screen I can see a rectangle perfectly defined surrounding the subject, that does not seem to belong in the photo (more noticeable in the upper right corner).
Steve, my point was that anything outside the white border should be legal, since it is clearly darker than what is inside the white border and therefore not there to fool the viewer. However, others have pointed out that areas inside the white border were also added in post-processing.
