On Monday I was really p***d as my submission was 4.4*** and imho it was a really good capture and use of desat. It is now sitting at 5.1525 (after 4 4's - I'm sad I know) so is a respectable score and will be my second best, but with a far better picture than my highest score thus far.
Recently there has been a lot of talk about making the picture 'voter friendly' and I think if my subject was known to peeps it would have scored much higher, maybe even a 6??. The challenge was to desaturate a picture which is what I did but I have a feeling people think the colours are not real and maybe voted me lower for this (great comment from Glacierwolf mind).
I'm happy with the submission and thats what counts and I have learnt a lot about desaturation from this challenge, especially what should not be desaturated, my subjects were crying out for this challenge and am sure I'll post a few more pics (maybe even a vid) of them on Monday.
