Yesterday I was responding to a thread and I made mention that I had allowed my membership to lapse. Unfortunately this had to do with money and not because I have a problem with the site. Scott, AKA SDW soon sent me an e-mail stating that he would be honored to help me with my problem. Scott should not be the one honored, I'm honored that he would offer to help, especially when I asked for none. This was done out of the kindness in his heart. I can't express my gratitude to him for helping. There just aren't words to express how this has touched me. He and I have never met, never really talked on the web. This is just him being a fantastic human being. now i've been here for about 4 or so years and I have seen him help others, watched him help with side challenges, observed the difficulties that life has thrown at him. I think its time we thank Scott for all he has done, continues to do, and will do in the future for this site. Scott, thank you again.
Well I think SDW is a saint. I love to hear about strangers helping strangers. cryan The only reason I was able to carry on my membership was my parents helped me out. Being laid off a couple of times etc kindof hurts the hobbies. At some point I might be in your shoes.
Scott is without a doubt one of the most selfless people I have ever had the pleasure to know, whether on this site or elsewhere. He has given so much, in so many ways, when he himself has had a very hard go. He sets an incredible example.
I for one never cease to marvel at the level of altruism exhibited by the people associated with this site. I cannot remember the number of times I have seen people help others through difficult times, be it with virtual hugs, information and tutoring in a variety of realms and even financial assistance.
Many a time I marvel at the qualities exhibited by people such as SDW aka Scott and I am reminded of the story told Here. Good deeds to come full circle.

There are so many un-named users that help others out on a daily basis and they are the ones that we need to thank, not me. I just happened to have a little extra money at a time when a DPC user was wanting to renew his membership. I was honored to help as I stated I have been helped out more than once by more than one person.
