My best friend, whom I talk to every day and have supported in every aspect of their lives daily, from advice, to love, to money, through depression for support for them just sent me this email.
I have moved on with my life, do not contact me again.
I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face 3 odd years of friendship gone in a split second.
A very cryptic message to me since I have to context for it. Maybe it is a frustrated plea for help or a shoulder to cry on? Maybe they are mad at you over something you are unaware of?

my heart is breaking
Damn, that's cold... I feel for you Juliet.
This is very, incredibly short, so I've no real context here, but..
From the little you describe, it doesn't sound like you had a situation in which you had invested heavily into a "friend" who had no re-investment.
It might sound cold and calculating, but freindship requires mutual investment, and I don't hear from you that they invested much in you, therefore it's possible they perceived no value.
Beyond that, this person is a serious candidate for a classic "user" type person... Essentially, it sounds like you might well be much better off without them (and I would NOT re-acquaint)...
----
I'm sure it's too soon to think super clearly, but take a day or two and think about what kind of friend this person is/was... I suspect they might not be quite the friend you had previously perceived them to be....
well i dunno, i kept asking what was going on with his silence these last 3 weeks and then got that email, guess he doesn't want me in his life anymore, i am not useful to him anymore, he found something else to be more interested in, I guess.

his loss, my loss, no winners in this circle
There's a rather outdated therapy method in where therapists used to (and perhaps, by this account, some still do) suggest to their clients to cut ALL contact with people from the life they were living before their therapy. This usually just includes friends and acquaintances, but sometimes was bullied enough to include family as well. A therapist I had once suggested this method, but I got another damn therapist.
Perhaps something like that is happening?
No matter how, or why, I can only imagine the heartbreak. Something like that, without any kind of closure, is even worse. I feel for you.

That's an extraordinary idea! Advise your clients to damage as many other people as possible, thereby increasing the overall pool of clients... :o\
Sorry you are hurting. Losing friends hurts and not knowing why hurts more. Hugs, Juliet. I can't speculate on what happened or why. But you have lots of good friends 'round here though. Sure I'm only "virtual", but if you prick me, do I not bleed? Ok, bad example because you can't physically prick me from clear over there, but you can always poke me on Facebook. :-)
LOL, I bought a new pair of kick arse Christian Louboutin boots and pee a toe black sling backs (always wanted a pair), a vacation in Mexico for 2 weeks over Christmas and a Canon 70-200, and a workshop with Manny in Vegas.
Would still rather have my friend back though, but Dave has moved on and obviously going in a different direction. I wish him luck with his new fiancée and the future they have together.
