I think anything can be a "cool prop" if used in the right way. Usually when something is used in an uncommon way, like sticking a perfectly clean mannequin on a old, "grungy" porch, people think it looks cool : )

Hint: Lots of cool cheap weird stuff in thrift stores -- (unfortunately) I tend to collect all kinds of things "just in case" they may be a good photo prop someday. The bow in this picture is actually the broken top half of a bow found in a garbage can at the archery range.
