Last month I had this crazy idea about narrating the story of your photo and I gave out Purple Prose Awards for the best narrative in the Free Study. Here's the prior thread.

You may nominate yourself or other photographers, by posting to this thread.
To enter: just tell us the story of your photo in the details section of your entry. Tell us the story of the shoot, the significance of the subject, the esoterica of editing, ..., tell us anything you want, ... but tell us! And then nominate yourself for consideration. See a photo whose story brings tears to your eyes? Makes you mad enough to spit? Nails the pathos of life? Then nominate that image and photographer! Easy Peasy.
I'll play again. I was pleased to learn that someone actually reads the photographer notes. Now I just need to decide which entry I am going to put in this month.
I'm always down for making and reading narrations, but unless I pull a last-minute switch on my entry, my photo's story has a two-word summary: "lucky shot." I can probably stretch it to ten.

posthumous - Of course. Some of my best memories are ... made up.
I always try to post the subject of the photo and the basic editing steps, and usually a little something about why I chose it. I've added some extra detail to my July Free Study -- nothing particularly moving, but hopefully informative. :-)

ok...thanks...funny thing is that i narrated it before i even knew about this...so that works out great! can't wait to read the other stories with the pics!
