Just a little tip for you. Check to see if the mirror has been modified. Canon had a recall, as the mirrors were falling loose. The glue holding the mirror, can deteriorate after time. I know this first hand, as it happened 2 days ago to me! Yeah, it was a bummer of a situation.
Even worse, just before going on a trip. So I opted to fix it my self. I ended up using a low vapour, super glue gel. Being sure to air it out, with no lens on. It worked perfectly! I have no link, but do a search for 5D mirror recall. You will find lots of info and pics. Then you can compare and see if it's fixed or not. If the later, just send it to Canon. It will be good piece of mind and it's free! |
