I don't understand 'like' buttons. why do we feel the need to have our thoughts, feelings and posts validated by others? surely we're not that insecure.
you may have surmised I dislike a lot of aspects of social networking. in short I wouldnt want this site to turn into Facebook. it's better than that.

edit: my biggest problem with it is 'like' isnt an appropriate sentement for 80% of things that are 'liked'. i motion for an "i have read what you say and wish to register a nondescript response to it" button.
