Whoa, I think I've only seen this once since I've been here (or only noticed it once)

I was curious to see how much Mae beat me by, and I noticed that our scores were the same. So then I figured that the site calculates the average and then rounds, so that it was probably a difference on a smaller level.

It's an exact tie! What are the chances?!

There have been several ties for ribbons. Depending on the underlying math, we may end up with two second-places and no third, but it will take personal intervention by Langdon if that's to happen.

It's actually an exact tie -- 1427 points divided by 206 in both cases. That's so bizarre!

You should get a red ribbon. I tied once for 1st (was originally in 2nd but got upgraded to a blue ribbon after a day or two).

Nothing has actually been removed. Karen was 1st, Mae was 2nd, I was originally third, and Irene was 4th.

Now Karen's first, Mae and I are both 2nd, there is no third, and Irene is 4th.

So that's how it works? Ah. I think Kelski and I assumed that fourth would be third since third became second.

you are math-brain like me, you will like this one:

if you have 23 friends then the probability that two of them share same birthday is 50%.
