Hard to know which would have worked best. I like the one where the bird's staring at us.
Here was one I was considering entering. Would probably have used a less processed version.
It's hard to imagine that those balls are clear, eh? I think it was a combination of refraction, lighting, the polariser and the shade of the light I used.
Your entry was the best by far......the composition was better, the solid black background was better and the bird's eye was another sphere in the photo.
I didn't dare submit the second alternate because I thought it would be too likely to be considered to violate the "artwork rule" ... :-(
The first one makes it clear what the subject is, but is I think too much a snapshot to have done well with the voters.
I went with my entry after I remembered the scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey, but I was worried that people would vote it down because I didn't include the whole sphere.
BTW: It's a great exhibit -- link on the entry's age ...
Love both of them and your entry. I found your entry interesting as I had intended to enter this one but I had edited using a selection and needed to redo but never got around to it before the deadline. Unlikely it would have done as well as yours though.
