I am bringing my video camera with me on vacation and thought I would get some pointers as to how I would do such a thing. Any suggestions for an easy way to PP the looooong video? And I know that this isn't really "photography" however, I think this site would know more about it than me. :)

Video, Unless you think the editing would be easier with my D40... I am not really trying to make the BEST time lapse video on youtube, I am just trying to get some cool video to show some friends.
And another This is how I want all yard work to be. If you can, watch this one to the end how it syncs with the end of the tune.

Ok, I thought I could do that but I just wanted to make sure ya know? Haha! Another question, lets say I wanted to do a night scene... All I have to do is set it up and it will have the right lighting on the video camera, or will it be too bright for the camera to focus?
As for PP the video. In premier elements I simply "grab" the end of the vid and drag it to the left. If the vid was one hour and I drag it to one minute on the bar...that's it. You have one hour in one minute !
However, the longer the vids are the longer and slower your computer runs while it is processing. I will usually break them up. Work with each in 15min cuts...save each file and then put all the cuts together after they are condensed....does that make sense?

Simply shoot a short vid at night with your settings and review it. Your long vid will have the same quality. Let's say a car headlights shine in for 10 secs....it wont matter b/c that 10secs will be 1 sec when you're done.
Try it at home before you go.
