I am thinking about getting rid of my 16-35mm lens because I have recently purchased 17mm tilt-shift and now have 17mm, 24-105mm, 400mm. I find myself using 16-35mm less and less. I know 16-35 is f2.8 but I rarely use that aperture on that lens. I use 17mm tilt-shift for architecture and can also shoot landscapes with it, although I can't use any filters on that lens. I can shoot landscapes with 24mm. The 24-105mm I find to be a good overall lens.
Can you guys think of any reasons why I should not get rid of that lens? Any other applications that I can use it for and may regret it if I get rid of it?

If you don't need the speed, you certainly have the range covered with excellent glass. If you do low-light hand-held photography where AF performance and maintaining a higher shutter speed is required, then the 16-35 is best-in-class... but if you are not concerned with this, then you really have little to lose.

selling the 16-35, you could buy the 180mm L macro lens which would fit nicely between your 105 and 400

Hey Hopper,

I do have the 180mm macro, I forgot to mention that. I was thinking of getting 70-200mm lens. What do yo think of that?
