A shout out to bassbone and giantmike who really went above and beyond in commenting on Free Study entries. I didn't vote the challenge so I've been going through looking at everyone's work and I'm seeing their comments on nearly every shot! You guys really deserve a round of applause, perhaps even a beer if I'm in the neighborhood! Thanks!!
Thanks Deb. I appreciate the acknowledgement, but was not really going for that. But if you are offering, I will take the beer...it is really hot here in New England and I could use a nice cool one.
Just in case you guys feel like commenting more outside of the challenges, please consider this thread, it will be a great morale booster for everybody who aspires to give/take comments!:-)
I'm glad everyone is liking them! I found that it actually gets easier to comment after you start. I always have a hard time coming up with comments when I start voting, but when I was doing it for every photo (until the holiday weekend hit), it became easier. It also allowed me to look at each photo longer to gain an extra appreciation.
I admit I did have a motive: to lead by example and see if others would start commenting more as well. No idea if it works, but I enjoyed it, so that's what really counts :)
