My daughter and I were... ummm... stepping outside my 'box' and actually photographing strangers on the street for the Street Portraiture challenge. We stopped at a group of three and inquired of their amiability toward being photographed.
The two automatically deferred to the third one who nodded.
I thought it was a bit odd... but happily chatted with them all about photographing them. Still the two held their hands to the third. I wasn't interested in the third, since the one I had in mind had more outstanding features (will withhold until after voting, of course) that made us ask.
So... "no skin off my teeth" and to be polite, I took two snaps of the third guy. He was pleasant and obliged me in "my folly".
Unbeknownst to me, while I was shooting the third guy, the guy we stopped for said to my daughter, "You're gonna freak out when you find out who he is..."... but then I turned to shoot him... and he posed for me.
Daughter did not tell me the comment until I'd thanked them all and we'd moved on.
I was aghast! I said, "... and you didn't ask who he was?!"
"Nope... you were already turned and shooting the other guy" *sigh*
So... does anyone know who he is? He's a nice guy... on the street of Athens, Georgia... a college town. So, maybe he's an athlete? Or a musician??
Funny how I also guessed a MMA guy. I just wikipedia'd Athens Georgia and Forrest Griffin was listed as one of the notables. Not like I know anyone in UFC etc...
lol...Apparently Forrest is um...6' 3" You'd probably remember that part if it was him :)
