I know many of us have done this, I am wondering where the best place to print it is, and if you used a template or if you created it directly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
well, after a nightmare of printing a couple of calenders last year (which were returned for credit) I ended up with MPix. The quality of the pictures is amazing in comparison...the program wasn't to hard to learn to use (and you know my abilities) I would change one thing although in next years calender. I printed my pictures on the whole page (under the date part) and I won't do that again as it is difficult to read the dates/events. But other than that...it was the "average" cost $20. And the quality outweighed any other company that I came across.
I can also tell you who NOT to use...Costco or Shutterfly. Their colors are so over saturated. I explored Kodak, but it seems quite difficult to learn how to lay out the calender and they are continually bugging me now to buy this print that....so on and so forth...
I created a calendar once, using my own templates. It was a complete pain with a lot of tedium involved, but it was nice to be able to keep complete control over the layout and design. If you're comfortable with tools like InDesign or Illustrator, I'd encourage you to do it all manually, but if you don't have the software or can't be bothered, you can get decent results with premade templates.
I've used the Kodak Gallery for a couple of years, really like the weight of paper they use.Price wise, 20$ cdn a piece, but no delivery if sent to a Best Buy for pick-up.
