Here's my dilemma... I had an awesome opportunity today to take some really neat photos. One of them I took I am going to use for the June free study. I would like to show some of the other ones so I can get comments/critiques. However, if I show any of them it will give away which photo is mine for the free study. Should I wait until after the challenge even though I'm dying to show someone?
Yes, you hsould wait. Although there is no rule saying you cannot share the others, it seems like they are close enough that you will lose anonymity. That will probably hurt your shot in voters' eyes, IMO.
I have gotten the idea here that the right thing to do is wait. Maybe someone who has been here longer will have more to say. I know the frustration, though. I get curious about a lot of threads before the results are shown, and can't always remember what was said prior.
When I have this dilemma, I put my photos on TrekEarth to see what people think of them. Sometimes, other people even edit your photo and post it to a workshop area with suggestions for improvements.
Yeah, I had an awsome photo shoot yestreday, and it made me remember why I love being a photographer. I even got sort of a small adreneline rush from it, if that's possible. But I think one of the shot is going to go into the June free study, so, you'll just have to wait =).
