Due to the way the streets in Manhattan align, there are a coupla days a year when the sun illuminates the entire east-west grid. Might be a good time for any NYC photogs to get some cool shots, since the next days are this coming weekend :)
Last year I tried to get a shot of the setting sun on the horizon, but I chose a poor vantage point. I'll have to try again from a different street this time.
