I understand it is normal for a mediocre entry to come out without any comments on a challenge with 514 entries.

But now since there are no comments, I am unable to understand why it is like that.

Any comments/critique would be really helpful.

I gave it a 5. I really liked the colors, but there was nothing sharp to draw my eyes in. I think a shorter shutter may have helped this one.

To me its a photo pretty much anyone with a decent P&S camera can take these days - it doesn`t draw me in, inspire me or provoke any emotional feelings in me. Snapshot at best.

Needs a main subject to draw me in. Like the title says - its a fountain at night - not something I can get excited about, I am sure it was more exciting to actually see it in action.

A score of 4.96?? yeah, thats about right.

I dont know if you will want my opinion or not-- but ill write it and you can choose whether or not you want to read it lol

I would of scored this a 5. The colors a pretty, its a nice snap shot but there is no focus - no subject - no "image" nothing to tell you a story or to keep your eye on the photo for more then a few seconds. You got the potatoes but you forgot the meat.

When you get something like this - thats a beautiful background - try to focus on something or find a way to bring it to life.

Anyway thats my humble opinion.

I didn't vote in this challenge because I was traveling and didn't have any time. However, I would have given it a 5 for much the same reasons as those mentioned above. Nothing to focus on, pretty lights, but not creatively photographed. (I do the same thing all the time...and get the same type of score.)
