If it goes in the gulf I hope it don't hit the panhandle of Florida. I live in west central Georgia and just had to deal with hurricane Francis (Tropical storm here), lots of rain and wind gust upwards of 60mph.
Several years ago, 1996,1997, hurricane Opal hit the panhandle of Florida. It was a Cat.4 but dropped to a Cat. 2 by land fall and we had winds of 100mph here and we were out of power for a week or more. Judging by the size and strength of Ivan, I don't want no part of him and hope no one has to. Prayers out to all in his path.
