4 Comments.... 5.663...I tried using grain and texture as a contrast to the chosen color...and of the 4 comments..lol one said it was shot in color...but of course I met the challenge and did desaturate all but ONE color... It was a difficult Challenge ... no doubt at all

and apparently i am very lucky with my 8 comments. Nice and/or helpful ones. The first few all said something like "i gave a 5, could have been a 10 if you didn't choose ...." so i felt really depressed and thought everyone would think that way. But now I get a few really nice and enthousiastic comments. I think i can say safely that my entry is very different from all the other, and people either like it or hate it.
btw, so far i rated every comment as "helpful" just because i think it's nice people take time to comment. (but i'm not sure how i would rate a "what were you thinking")
Aargh! People please stop saying: the photo doesn't meet the challenge..
I'm on a 5.3696 now, but I've got already a few people lowering my score just because they think I didn't desaturate, or when they do think I did it, I didn't do it too obviously..sigh.. (and no, that's not only the man with the harsh comments saying that..I'm talking to a few fellow posters in this topic too!! ;) ). When this challenge is over, I'll explain why my photo couldn't possibly be NOT de-saturated
Oh, I'll give up..... I got a few more hours for the Newspaper challenge, I haven't got anything yet..I think that challenge is a hard one!

Seriously...we've got five more days that I have to endure this torture...it could take a desperate turn for the worse. Stranger things have happened around here, I'm sure! I think I just got lucky with this shot...not because of my photographic abilities (whatever those are). I can't wait to be able to show some of the outtakes and find out if they were any worse or better! :o)

Yes, I have somewhat of a life...we've been in Dallas all day. So I come back home to a thread with my name on it (thanks, Kylie!) and my husband and I were laughing so hard I was crying! Anyway...the update is...7.0037 as of now, and 19 comments. Who'da thunk it???? ;o)

Nope, I've commented on the 5 10's I've given and also some of the 4's and the one 3 I gave so you could have been any of them, though from the score you currently have, I'm guessing it's one of the 10's :)
