I’m liking story catcher a lot. “Storycatcher” is trademarked. However, it sounds like I could use Story Catcher as two separate words? Is that a bad idea?

I would love to highlight wildlife in the name, but I think if I did that it wouldn’t be as good when I need to do mundane photography to make money. Plus, even with wildlife, that’s my whole point – I’m trying to find the stories.

It started with needing a different email address. Since I only knew gmail and Wendy Nelson Photography wasn't available, I realized I should think about rebranding. Since that name doesn't really say anything, anyway.
I don't have a website, I have a smugmug account. So I'm realizing that I need to make a change, but not sure what changes I need to make. All I know is that I'm using my personal email address for business, and it needs to be separated out, because if and when someone ever contacts me, it could get lost in all the junk and spam that comes into my personal email.
So that's what started all of this. I need a new email, and I'm learning that I need to know what I should be doing for my business.

Or you get yourself the domain storycatcher.photos (available, at least while I write this) and use, for instance, wendy@storycatcher.photos as your email address.
(I have no clue if storycatcher has any trademark on it, then it gets more complicated.)
Whatever your name is, you just need it to bring up your site in a Google search.
Like for example, when I Google Wendy Nelson Photography the first two links are other people. The third link is your Facebook page. So that in itself is a reason to rebrand.

Where life exists, stories happen. Whether its ants lining up to collect food, a gunsmith working his trade, or the dance of the snowy egret looking for lunch, the act of living tells a story. Through these photos, I will share glimpses of different lives from all perspectives, from creatures great and small. With each picture, we can see a glimpse into the life of another. With each glimpse, we can better envision the different stories of our world.
