Suggestion: if teams are going to be smaller, ie 5, to get to 24 teams, best to decide that early before a lot of 7-person trans are already formed and then will have to cut folks. :)
... Captains of resurrected teams should be aware that depending on how many DPCers sign up for this iteration of DPL, teams may end up smaller than they were last time around. ...
Bear mentioned it when opening the thread
But I was so excited about DPL taking place again that I didn't pay attention. Now I have to ask people to step back... I know it's my fault but my heart is aching
since there are 7 member teams already formed maybe there will have to be less than 24 teams if not enough people sign up.
I don’t think it works with less than 24. Needs to be a multiple of 24
If it got bad you could do 2 divisions of six teams and seed the top 2 in the playoffs with the second place of one division playing the first place of the other. Probably screws with the software though.
To reiterate, we MUST have 24 teams to play. If we don't draw in excess of 120 players, not all teams will have even 5, let alone 7, players on board. If it gets to that point, decisions will have to be made that may involve trimming team size. What's your best bet to avoid that happening? Get out and recruit for DPC :-) The more the merrier.
I hear ya.
I sent a bunch of invites earlier in the day and I'm impatiently waiting … Isn't EVERYONE sitting in front of their computer anticipating this thing????? ;)
And then I look at all these teams that are complete already! Hmmph

BTW, just for the record, I won't be joining this competition because I will be administrating it. However, all other SC are fair game if any of you feel like trying to entice one on board :-)
