Got a comment on a recent submission of mine in one of the challenges.
Commentor indicates that since my submission had to be validated....
he/she scored it lower.
Geeez. What's up with that!
LOL, usually the opposite is true; if it had to be validated, you've achieved something legally that is difficult to do, and some will score higher for the technical merit.
O well, take it as what it is, just one opinion of many.

There was a thread on this subject a few weeks back as some people were complaining that their score went down after being validated...I`ve experienced this too but never had anybody TELL me they are scoring me down for that reason.
Maybe there`s a case for sending pm`s to people who ask for DQ`s telling them the image has been validated rather than posting it on the image itself ?
I think the "This picture has been validated" note is only displayed during the challenge if it's requested by the photographer. (at least thats the way its been working for me)

The "validated" note is only applied if there is an apparent rules violation in the photo and the photographer requests an "admin note" (and we've validated the original to be legal) or if we've actually received at least one "real" DQ request (again, after validating the original). Otherwise, we try not to apply the note to avoid "voting bias".
From the rules:
If you feel a photograph has violated the site rules, you may click the "Recommend Disqualification for this Picture" link and enter your reason why. You should then vote on the photo as if the rule was not broken, and leave the determination up to the administrators.
So they dropped your score because you didn't cheat? :-/

that is so wrong! Whoever that was should be shot!
okay maybe not but can you imagine that? A DQ request or has been validated note should have no bearing whatsoever on voting. Some people look for any reason vote low. I would rather have folks say I am voting lower bc I am a HATER!
