Very low score for me, I had a shot of a single leaf, nice light etc but found it dull and boring, probably would of scored well also, but I went a little outside the box this time, my highest votes will go to those images, not the ones that are trying to please.
So you are going to vote down on an awesome shot of a leaf/leaves because it literally meets the challenge?

Well, it was a bit of an unusual statement. I kind of read it the same way ... with a twist.

So basically, Neat decided to be different and went for the "outside the box" approach (and it's not scoring well for her) - additionally she will be rewarding those instead of the "dull and boring" ... "ones that are trying to please". There was a hint of soap box positioning in there to me.
Somewhat typical bantering about "how to vote" in a scores thread. Happens all the time. :-)
... as for "what harm in sharing how it is that they please?" - I guess none. I haven't voted this challenge yet, but I'll be a tad more critical of those blurry, fuzzy, heavily textured, out of the box images for sure. :-D

A lot of good images there, and I commented on my favs. I totally understand Neat's perspective. I also tend to reward those who push the boundaries of the challenge or take a particularly unique approach... There's nothing wrong with that position, vote as you like!
