My first ever submission... at the time i was moderately pleased result, (i only had the camera six weeks and it was taken mid-afternoon on the sunday of the challenge). now of course, in retrospect, i realise i should have been VERY pleased with the result; for scoring over 5 is really good for me. i am a bit anal about statistics and maths and the like, and i was moderately surprised to get one 1 and one 10. naturally, nowadays i appreciate that such a spread in voting is a given...
I just submitted my first challenge photo today, so you'll get to see my humble beginnings tomorrow. I am a little scared by how many people in this thread said that it all went downhill after their first submission, but I have enough faith in the lack of my first submission's quality to know that I can do better. :-) Looking forward to your comments!

I was stunned. In my excitement, I had to enter a challenge, so that was it. Sadly, it's not my lowest rated image.
