I do wonder what will happen though if someone wins a ribbon for their flower (or whatever) shot and then people see that person always takes photos of flowers. Hopefully that simply won't happen :)
Wouldn't that be grounds for disqualification though...even after voting is done?

Not meeting the challenge is no longer grounds for disqualification.
This challenge seems to be confusing us all regarding what`s asked for.
The guideline says " Shoot something you have never ENTERED before from someplace you have never taken pictures before."
My submission meets both criteria..but I`m still getting remarks like "Can`t believe you have never taken a --------- picture before" and my score being cut as a result.
The way I see it..this is basically a free study as long as you haven`t entered this type of picture to a previous challenge and that the location is new to you.

All I can say is... I am getting killed! 3.9 so far. And its a good photo. LOL. Maybe I should ask to have it DQ'ed. ;)
I'm not doing well either, and I was very pleased with my photo. Looks like I may have my two worst scorers right now.. going for the brown ribbon in Rusted and Something New II's not far ahead ;)
Would euthanasia be considered reasonable grounds for DQ? Failing that, is there a way to retroactively change my title to include "If you give me a 1, you must be stoopid."
6.4 to 4.6 in 27 votes. I also receive very helpful and highly intelligent comments like "I'm not sure what this is" and "Why are ...(dark areas) so dark?".
Should I respond and express my sympathies or attempt an explanation of the distribution of light on the reflective properties of respective objects and matter at varying times of the day and night?

I do want to add that there are some REALLY great pictures in this challenge. Voting will be fun, because there is such a diverse field of entries. I do, however, thank the maker that there are not 443 of them!!!! ;')

Wow, I was just recommended for DQ and need to show my proof. That's funny. This was advanced editing right? You are allowed to use the stamp tool to cover a piece of lint and use curve adjustments right? If so, I am set.
