The rules say..."Abstracts are about lines, shapes and colors. If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract." People will try to overintellectualize this statement (I can see it now...recognizable as an object, but does that mean a specific object or any object?); they will run it backwards, forwards, upside down, rightside up, inside out, and around and around. You are right...at least 11 people will make those comments, and probably a few more. Isn't it scary????

haha Perhaps I should have inverted my photo! Then Id atleast fool people into what kind of object it is LOL
I am just waiting to see how many people did abstracts as color abstracts where the object is still recognizable, and then how many abstracts as unrecognizable things.
I know I don't have a top 10 finish, but hey it was the first challenge in a few weeks that got my attention and got me to at least try and do something so hey abstract interuptation is my defense to those who say this doesn't fit the challenge.
my favorite comment for this challenge is going to be "Where's the Abs?" LOL
OK, I'll be the first to say it..."Hey, I can recognize way too many objects in the abstract challenge!!!" Did everyone not READ the assignment? Sheesh!
I'm wondering the same thing. I entered something at the last minute, something I took earlier this week, cropped, did VERY LITTLE post processing to create the colors and already my first comment was too much PhotoShop, LOL! Sitting at 3.0 after 4 votes. Oy! Looking through the thumbnails this is going to be a very tough one to vote.
This one is going to be a weird one as far as score go. I have a feeling my score is just going to jump all over the place. I also think that the scoring curves are going to look as standard as the usually do.

I can make out most of them especially the mac flower shots. I'm really starting wish that the mac flower shot be banned for at least one challenge.

I am only taking a point off for recognizable objects, I don't think it's fair to give 1's for things like that, 1's are for pictures that are so bad that they make my eye's bleed sort of thing.

Will in that case, my shots are apparently forcing people, in drooves, to the hospitals for emergency blood transfusions!
