Congrats for sure! I'm curious...how long do they have photos in queue for selection? I ask because I see where you shot this a year ago (Dec 2008). Did you submit it recently or was it sitting in a pool of photos at Kodak?
Thanks everyone. Barry, must be in a pool. About a year ago is when it was submitted. About the same with the other two...I think Arches and Filegree was submitted at least a year before it was picked...shot in Sept. 2008 in DC and picked in Oct. 2009.

COngratulations! Very exciting! For me, the biggest thing was the idea of being on their billboard in Times Square. I tried to watch the Times Square web cam there to catch a glimpse of it on the screen but it took a while for the webcam pan to cycle up right with the billboard image changing. Really nice shot- I can see why they chose it.
I had my second POD in December but didn't know until afterward since I never got their email (maybe spam filter picked it out?)

Hopefully I'll be able to see mine on the "big screen" that day. (Anyone in NYC that day (Feb. 24th, would you mind snapping a pic if my shot is up and you are in the square?)

Here is link for the webcam- you can try to watch for it. It was on my old computer but I did save a screen shot when my picture finally showed. //www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/timessquare/ This seems to be a new cam- the old one was not as easy to see and panned back and forth so I had to wait for the cam and the billboard to synchronize to get a shot- waited about half an hour (missed it once or twice). Cool- I see you can zoom in on the cam too and pan it within the frame to where you want so you can get a bigger shot of the billboard (lower left of the frame).

What's up with them...After seeing this thread, I wondered what was up with the shots I've entered (I've only got POTD twice as far as I knew). So I go to the site look at your pic, then ask to see by month. Then backtrack by month, and I see this.

Not sure what happened. I haven't had an email from Kodak in a long time.
