i don't know how often paul bestowed his "order of the thumb" but i do know it stands among my most favorite comments ever received and i proudly display it on my profile page. between the two paul's leaving, they accounted for a lot of the feedback that kept me encouraged despite continually producing forgettable images.

You will be missed Paul. Your depth and elegance are a rare commodity.
Sigh. Grumble grumble. Wanders off talking to himself.
So I take a couple weeks off from here and this happens... Sigh, not helping my mood anyway. Such a shame to lose a unique and talented photographer.

Actually, I came back for a quick peek to Paul's images and was quite confused not to be able to find his profile.
A really inspiring portfolio and unique, what's left is what he inspired in other people's images.
I think Ubique was a very appropriate username, while some might find Paul's opinions to be quite inflexible, as a matter of fact he has an hard to match inclination donning other photographers' shoes and trying and understand what other people's imagery wished to communicate. As opposed to what he thought they should communicate.
Conceptual imagery is hard to come by, here and elsewhere.
Anyway, enough, no doubt he is somewhere photographing right now, and hopefully sharing images and thoughts, unique and ubique both :)
