Okay that is my first pass. Now to go back and see why the cumulative is kind of low. Must be the thunderstorm we are getting right now. No more 90+ degrees for at least a few days.

Somewhere on the east coast. Northern east coast. Bear_music can almost be considered a neighbor if you take the distance between dpcers from Japan to Africa, to Europe to the U.S.
We've been close to 100 the past few days (NJ). We're getting thunderstorms today too. It's actually thundering right now, but the sun is still out. They predict the heat will break by morning.
Wish I could have entered this one but I just had no time to shoot birds this past week, and they're one of my favorite subjects. So thanks to everyone who entered pretty and/or interesting pictures for me to look at!

Me, neither! Darned puppies are sucking up all of my free time, and making the "yard birds" scarce. OTOH, I have unlimited access to puppy breath :-). Being high on puppy breath apparently makes me give out high scores. Works out for you guys LOL!
Wow, I can understand how that must be terribly frustrating - it would certainly annoy the * out of me. But you've made the effort to critique (I don't know if Richard has or not, honestly) and you haven't written an ever-so-slightly insulting comment in a scores thread.
On another note, I've never asked for an in depth critique. At first, I was too scared that there would be nothing good to say about my shots, then after a while, I realised you were the only one doing them anyway and I didn't want to add to your work load. One day, one day...
Don't be silly, Pam! The critiquing is voluntary, there are over 400 members so it's all up to the dispersed membership if and when they feel like critiquing. I've been fairly lax the last few weeks but trying to catch up a bit. There is always something good in a photo, I always do my best to find it and point it out, but yeah then I do have to go into 'Ok, this aspect needs work'. And if I don't get to a specific image via the CC queue, you can always PM me and I can leave a highly detailed comment as opposed to an *official* critique.
And yeah...it can be massively frustrating when someone basically blocks up the CC queue with requests for critiques, which they then completely ignore and refuse to acknowledge. It's annoying and means that people who really DO want critiques risk not getting them.

I'm right there with you Richard. I've lost a few tenths but am still hopeful. Thanks for your comment. So many wonderful images. A nice variety of great technical shots and artistic ones.
I last entered a challenge in feb 2011, am back now for this one and I'd forgotten how addictive the update button is. I'm happy with how my photo is doing, it's not perfect but it's fun and it's scoring around what I expected
