Very hard to vote on these. Many people submitted a photo which they thought was serendipitous because they weren't expecting to get that shot ... but the photo doesn't "represent Serendipity".

This is exactly my thoughts. Yes, it will be surprising to see which ones ribbon.
Serendipity is the first challenge I entered and if the score was the mark for a high school course, I'd be failing miserably. :-( How is everyone doing?
This is also the first challenge I've entered and I'm doing okay, much better than I would have expected. It seems some folks actually "got" my photo, which pleases me more than high scores for a first try.
Painful, painful. watching my Serendipity entry go from 70 votes -- 5.98 (oh so painfully close to 6); 80 votes – 5.90; 90 votes – 5.8 – rats!! backwards.
