I was expecting a sub 5 score. Where are the trolls when you need them!?
Can you please explain why low votes and trolls are synonymous? I don't understand the insinuation that simply because someone give you a low score they must be trolling. Maybe they simply don't like your photo.

About what i expected. I'll be happy as long as i stay above a 4.25 right now....
I know my subject matter may seem to some as if it "BMC" (barely meets criteria), i'll post my alternate photo later when voting closes to not give away which photo is mine, see what people think would've been better in hindsight.

Can you explain the reasoning behind your assertion? I don't see it that way at all. I put the majority of photo in the 4-6 range and deduct or add marks based on my interpretation of the challenge, the creativity behind the photograph, and the technical aspects of the photo.
I simply don't see how voting either 1 or 2 automatically makes you a troll. A troll would be someone who tries to suppress scores for certain photos in relation to a select other group or simply blankets everyone with low scores with no regard for the actual photographs.

OK, let's avoid essentializing people based on their actions....how about this: There are no trolls, only troll-like behaviours. There are legitimate reasons for these behaviours.
It has dropped significantly in the last dozen votes. At least I still have that one really nice comment. Sometimes connecting with one person makes it worthwhile. Plus, it is early yet -- I may connect with one or two more. Or, my score may just continue to slide.
I'm quite surprised: I was sure that my shot was a 'regular' one - it fits the challenge, is 'nice' but not wonderful, therefore I was sure it couldn't attract very low or high votes. Instead I'm receiving vey high and very low votes (I'm at 6.15) and to tell the truth I don't know why :)
I haven't voted on many pictures... yet... but so far I've given out nothing below a 7. :)
The few I have voted on were great.
And after looking through the challenge, there are many, many others that are visually appealing and artistic in nature!
Can't wait to finish.
Gotta get back to this drab paper first.
But voting helps to keep my mind going, getting me to think... which is actually helping to aid me in my paper.
