I am new again. Not sure if any of the current members are the same but I am back to the site after a few years of being in hiding. I have learned alot over the years and trying to get back into photography. Not sure if anyone remembers me but a pretty big thread at that time was "edit this" and it have a sel portrait of myself that was morphed by other users into all sorts of famous and semi famous people. I just signed up to be a member again today and looking back at my portfolio makes me want to cry. I have no idea what I was doing back then and definately will not submit thoose kinds of pictures this time around. I did get close to getting a ribbon in Self Portraits IV and was 4th. I am not sure what has changed here like the editing rules, the league (I did the first one), or any of the other hundred things that change with a website such as this. I am looking forward to making friends and finding lost friends.
Judging from your profile page, it looks like you faded out a couple of months before I arrived. Welcome back.
There's been a lot of changes, probably too many to mention in one breath, but a handful of notable ones are:
-Topaz and similar plugins now allowed in basic editing.
-File sizes for all challenges increased to 800 pixels and 300k
-Only one open challenge starting Tuesday night/Wednesday morning
-Additional member challenge starting Thursday night/Friday morning
