Just to make sure, you didn't send it in with the border, did you? Pictures with borders are automatically rejected at 1X ...
It was without the border - don't know what size they usually prefer, but it was about 800px on the wide side. Not a high resolution.
Good (about the no border). 850 px max for height, 950 px max for width, so in this case you could have gone a little bigger. Bigger usually is better (except for poor photos, where smaller hides a multitude of disasters). Why not high resolution?
To me the new 1X looks absolutely beautiful. It is not only light, but also elegant. I love all the white! Anyway ... just another POV.
I was just going to ask what people thought of the new look. I've always found 1x to be aesthetic pleasing... dark and rich is how I would have described it. The white caught me off guard at first, but after browsing a bit the scheme is growing on me. It feels clean and the images seem to stand out more than the words. I've been seeing more of the white backgrounds on livebooks and viewbook sites and I like it there as well. The white background reminds me of a magazine page or modern museum wall.
Oh.. and since this is a 1x Reject Club, I'm 3 for 3 with rejects but everybody has seen the images here before so I won't post them yet again. I'll keep trying though because I enjoy the work that I see there.

I've gotten so used to being rejected I didn't even check to see if it had been published!! Thank you all for bringing it to my attention. What a fair and fitting end to the DQ saga :-)
Secondly, I can't actually tell. I uploaded a total of 20 images, but I sent a lot of them to critique without sending to screening. So, because it makes a better story, yes, it was # 13 :-)

I think they have by now too many good images and too few ways of selling them.
