Same camera, same place, sameish titles. We can safely say the two entrants know each other.. Almost feel sorry for them because they have no idea how tightly knit this community is (and pitch fork friendly :P)

I believe, and I may be off base here, but I believe that the take-home from this is that "emulate the masters" challenges should be for paid members only, because I think they are a little more likely to vote this kind of challenge thoughtfully. It doesn't feel like a majority of the voters in this challenge really understood what makes a Weston special.

I am not a paid member and would hate to see this happen. I'm still pretty new and have been learning a lot with each challenge. I really enjoyed the Weston challenge -- it was the most unique of the challenges that I have entered so far (to me anyhow). I did come in second to last place, but I think I totally get why -- my primary flaw became painfully obvious once I started voting myself. Now you seasoned paid members may not agree with my read of the masters, but I think my voting is valid -- and I provided comments on most images with my impressions and reasons for voting the way I did.
I don't have a problem with revealing my votes -- I stand by my read of the challenge and entries. I would rather I have to defend each of my votes in such challenges than be excluded from them. If challenges like "emulate the masters" become paid members only I may just lose interest in the site. As it is, I happily take my place at the back of the pack until I figure out how to score well.

But why do people have to be so stupid that they just have to vote everyone else down! messed up... I think thats all i have to say... or that i feel like saying...
Trying to 'rig' the votes (if that is what has happened here) is nothing new at DPC
There have been numerous cases where people have tried and been found out thanks to the SC

If there was cheating involved, I would really like the SC to recalculate the results of this challenge. I would rather have a spot that I have earned, than to get it because others were intentionally hurt.
The dude's work is certainly amazing. He's got an entire portfolio of jaw-dropping portraits. I wonder why he even bothered with this.
On another note, why were so many tickets submitted about the winner? I wouldn't have thought anything afoul and would have let SC do their standard validation.

Something certainly looks strange. I couldn't believe how low the score for the blue was. Whether or not positions will change drastically is anyone's guess, but those scores just don't seem right. The quality in this challenge seemed pretty good to me.

Looks like there's the 1st place being taken before and lots of 1 voting. Might be a lot of people up. Good news for nudes and lady subjects from what I've read here.
I just went through the photos and ALL of the other shots with a woman in them had AT LEAST ten 1's, but most had 12. EXCEPT for these two shots. One got ZERO 1's and the other got 2. Does smell fishy to me.
I'd like to know why every single nude got eleven to fifteen 1's , but these two didn't (one got no 1's, the other got 2):
What a coincidence that they were both shot in the same location and both are newly registered accounts. Can the SC look into this please? I think it takes no rocket scientist (even though I am one) to figure out what the heck is going on here.
