Can you give me a step-by-step tutorial of what actions you take on a typical photo? I know it's a lot to ask :)
Finally got around to trying this on some G5 raw shots. This works really well. It basically is a combination of several different sharpening techniques - sharpening on layers in luminosity mode (three different passes), plus the "smart sharpening" technique of using "find edges" to limit the most drastic sharpening to edges. I'm not sure why this would specifically require the C1 converter - maybe it gives better results in the conversion, but it doesn't seem like it would have much effect on the sharpening.
I'm also not sure about the color correction actions - they look OK, but I'm not sure how well a "one for all" solution will work over time.
i have a problem ... i am using a French version of Photoshop and this actions file was written to be used under at least an english version, so it could not select "Background Copy 2" as it is not the names used in French (it is "Arrière-Plan Copie 2") ...
I gave it a try. The 'after' result is not very much different than my standard technique which is basically to convert the image to LAB color, sharpen and then convert back to RGB.
I tried this technique some more but I'll have to admit that you can make it look just as good by manually working it. I will probably use this once in a while though - much easier than going through eleventeen steps everytime...
