I'm surrounded by gear junkies. Can't quite figure out why I am so happy with this worn out old 50D. It's like so,... last year.
LOL! Obviously the 50D is a great camera. If I had one now I wouldn't be looking at or wanting the 7D so bad....BUT...since I don't have a 50D then I'm free to lust after the 7D. :)
ETA: PLUS you've done so well with that 50D in recent months if it were me I wouldn't be looking to upgrade anytime soon either. :)

If I hadn't sent my 40D in for repairs 4 times within a year's time, I wouldn't have the 7D. I really liked my 40D, but I felt I couldn't trust it anymore.
Cheer up everyone!! I haven't even broken the 5 mark since 10 minutes after rollover. Started with a 5 then a 6. Then 2 4's. After the two fours I've never crossed the 5 plain again. Anyone have a tiny violin?

I don't know how I feel about my photo. I think I hate it and I was expecting a mediocre average but right not it is doing pretty good (accdg to my standards). I guess it was a risky subject and DPC'ers notice it? I'm not sure, I get this weird disowning feeling every time I look at it. Wow..that's weird.

That's funny...my mother used to get this weird look and disowning feeling when ever she looked at me too. LOL. Well, as you said...whether you like it or not it's doing well for you and you even got a fav so good for you. Stay happy and maybe your shot will start to grown on you a bit. :)
ETA: Oh, and was only kidding about my late mother. I was her favorite. :P

Then again, good ol' DPC. This shot is ok to me. I mean, I like it, but it's not that memorable compared to my other recent entries that have scored 5.x. And my FS entry, which I think is stunning, will probably end up at 5.5.
Mostly, I'm enjoying entering. I've entered more in the past few weeks than in the past 10 months.
