I think some of the ones that didn't meet the challenge were pretty good shots.
Just because they didn't meet the challenge doesn't mean they weren't good.

I don't give 1's for not meeting challenges. I just take off a few points from what I'd've given it for a free study I guess.
I no longer gives 1s for DNMC, even though they DESERVE a ZERO. The scale should be 1-10 for those images that qualify for the challenge, by meeting the theme of the challenge.

The amount I take off for not meeting challenge depends on how far off the challenge it is.
you can tell with pics were carefully crafted to meet a challenge and which ones were just submitted stock because they fit the theme.
i did that with my first entry yet i received a 5.1, i would have given myself a 3 or 4 for the crappy photo it was, i was just looking for feedback on composition.

Curious as to where mine fits in, because I made use of what was available and tried to do something different with them. However I could easily and probably will sell the images as stock on Alamy. is that OK?
the concept of expert editing scared me away from that one. I just only used layers for some prep for the free study.
