I'm going to Nashville the first part of May, with a church group and we have some free time. We are staying by the airport. Does anyone know of free or cheap things to do while I'm there. We don't have a lot of money for the tours and such. Any insiders out there?

You have to go to the Opry Mills hotel - and take your camera - you could spend all day there! Also the downtown area is great for walking around. The zoo is fun too if the weather is good - but that costs a bit. But downtown has parks, and walks, the river - and Opry Land Hotel is great - i spend whole days in there. Enjoy!

The farmer's market (just West of downtown) is interesting, great images can be had from the pedestrian bridge between downtown and the stadium, the entertainment district (Broadway Street at River) has a lot of people of an evening and might be fun and a place for dinner, Go to Centennial park...lots in bloom this time of year and the Parthenon is a great spot for pictures.
