Well, I'm just filling in for cynthiann, since I'm here and I understand the process more or less :-) My understanding is that we will have 10 to process, and the originator of each image will choose his/her winners, and whoever accumulates the most points "wins" the "competition" (it's all in good fun, and the process is the prize really). So if you care about "winning", the more of them you process the likelier that is :-) Either way, it's seeing what everyone comes up with that most matters, there's a lot that can be learned.

I would like to add to this, that you are asked to list, in detail, your editing steps under the comments section when you upload your edit of the image.. That's what makes this valuable for everyone, as that is how we get to see how you did what you've done..
The more the merrier. 10 will be picked for the actual challenge, to give a good cross-section of interesting stuff. If you got one you like that would benefit from different approaches, load it up, I'd say.

After a certain amount of heartsickness over the whole business, yeah, I'm still here on the site.
Yes, I'm ready to play in this fun side-challenge that cynthiann has very competently put together over the past couple of months.
Here are a couple of straight-out-of-the-camera possibilities for "originals" fittingly taken on 4/3/2005 in Golden Gate Park with a starter Canon DSLR - 300D.
