I have to admit too Jason, racing photography is one of my favorite subjects also. I like your first pic best. I havent really shot any digital racing, at least not with my DSLR. I havent been to a good race since I got it. I plan on catching the IRL and Nascar Busch series at Narareth PA this year, hoping to put the D60 to the test.

I dig motorsports photos too. I prefer drag racing though. Trying to capture a 7000 hp dragster with a digital camera is challenging/frustrating.

People at work laughed when I told them I raced R/C cars. They had an image of some Radio Shack toy in their head. Once they found out how much the car costs and how fast they were... they stopped laughing.
I raced the "1:8 Scale Open Class".
1/8th scale onroad with .21 nitro engines.
I had never seen an R/C race in my life. A track just opened up right down the street from my house, so I checked it out. It was amazing how fast those cars were. And the guys were very seriuos about their hobbey and very competitive. Was alot of fun just to watch.

RC Cars are a blast. The offroad ones are cool too. They use a lot of the same technologies as the full size race cars, only much smaller (and cheaper).
When I was in Engineering school, I was on a team that built and raced a solar powered car from Indy to Colorado Springs. They don't go that fast (80mph), but they look like nothing else and are definitely high tech.
