I get the feeling there are many people scraping at and around a 7, plus a lot of nice scores being posted so far. My guess is the Top 5 might all be 7's.

As to the number of voters - my photographer entry (in one day) has more votes than this one.
I wish I knew too. The first day I was up above 6.7 for a good while and now I am below a 6...SERIOUSLY???
So I asked for it - and what I got is a comment from someone on the site who I believe is respected - I'm upset (and disagree) with what this person had to say but I can't rebut. That kind of stinks.
And I hear you, abranton, as my score has dropped almost a whole point since the end of the first 24 hours. I guess that's the way it is around here. But who knows, it could also turn around...
There are lots of worthy images in this challenge, IMO. I gave out at least ten scores that were 7 or more.
