Well, you do realize that the better you are, the less chance you have at scoring well. If your handicap is 75, the best you can get is -5. However, the worst you can get is +15. So you need to continually do well instead of counting on one spectacular hole. It's actually kinda fun that way, my son could clean up on this one!
I think you are just a victim of your own success in that you started with such a strong handicap.... your result this week is very unusual for you, and I would suggest it was undeserved, I like your nine photo. :)

My fantasy team is sitting at -10! How are you doing vlado?
pwarmuz -8
vawendy -1
jeger -1
andrewt 0
So.... I never did get a chance to pick my fantasy team.... I would still like to pick if I can. I assume that my first week score would not count though?
Hoping that I can still pick, I would like to take:

I've got no problem with counting week one given this has become more a proof of concept than anything (with only the three of us in).
Only par+3. Not too bad, second round is going for par-1 (I hope). Congrats Joanne, for place 1 after the first round! And for Deb: the 2 lowest scores will be skipped, so you probably end up in the top 3 at the end!
Just wait til the next hole. I'm sitting at +3 and my Deep DOF will add another half dozen to that score at least.
Race you to the cellar. Highest score takes home the whiterook Cup. Only rule is you can't try to "win" (which of course makes the winner's Cup misnamed. Maybe we should call it the posthumous Cup instead).
All apologies to the users named in vain, of course.

Oh, I'm not going for high score - if I were to TRY, I'd fail at that, too. But you're on. You're gonna have to really work at making it up to where I started! :-)
And how is it that this young Mr Warmuz gentleman has a handicap 20 some points less than mine when he has tons of bling in his last 15 challenges or so and a higher average? Quite a few folks who have lower (ie higher, were this really golf) handicaps have higher averages than me. I apparently didn't do something right.

So... by my calcs your team has a score of -11
So the Fanatasy League standings after week 1
vlado -14
VitaminB -11
jeger -10
Ok, you've got me curious now. I know nothing about fantasy leagues, so that's why I didn't sign up. But since I haven't looked too carefully at the results, I went through and picked based on the criteria I would have used before this started.
(I haven't figured out yet what the score would have been. I'm going to go do that now. I can just start at the 2nd hole, if you want.) But the question is, people have picked a sub. How do the subs work? Are they only there if someone doesn't enter, or can you sub them out before a challenge?
If it's just too late, period, that's fine too. I just went for people whose handicap is lower than it should be, and who can bring on some major upsets.
A sub is automatically subbed on if one of the other 4 don't submit one week, or you can make a sub one of the starting 4 provided you've stated that's your intention prior to voting on the challenge has started. Similarly, you can trade photogs, provided this is done prior to the start of voting.
I'm happy to include you, and anyone else that wants to participate... and personally, I have no problem counting week 1.

So if I'm disappointed in you after a couple of weeks, I can swap you for someone else (not on my list), provided I make it clear before the challenge starts? :D

oops, just remembered about this and already used a mulligan so spent an hour with an idea. Will probably fall foul of the DNMC voters but heck, I'm in the rough already!
Well, I actually came up with "SOMETHING" so no Mulligan for me this wk...had a hard time deciding which one to enter...first one entry...then change it...then another...hmmm I am walking away now...
Hoping to get back under par. :-)
have a possible for this week, with another trip about soon for some last minute inspiration. I figure it is better to enter anything decent then use the mulligans early.
Maybe a side challenge, best overall score without a mulligan? Anyone interested? The only rule is you must enter every week.
Took a couple of shots while shooting for other things - got one which might be OK but I think it's pretty dull! I might as well stick it in, I have nothing else and it is bedtime here.
For the record, "mulligans" are usable even if you complete all 9 holes: your two worst finishes will be dropped from your score. Or that's what I believe, anyway :-)
No mulligan for me this week, I'll tell ya that. And I believe with all my heart that the one I am entering in the challenge closing tonight will finish above 6. I believe! I believe! (Said Tiger Ward as he watched his ball start to hook out to the left...)

I'm up for that, though I'm confused on why you have to enter every week: without mulligans, any week you don't enter is gonna give you a 0% finish and a cataclysmically low score for that hole. Ain't that punishment enough? Jejeje™ Either way, count me in...

That is absolutely correct.
I already used a mulligan myself... had nothing for kisses, or Deep DOF... but I am in for straight.

Im already too late for it... as are about 1/3rd of the golfers... the first hole had a lot of Mulligans.
ETA
Vlado started a cool side-side challenge.... pick your DPC Golf Fantasy team... 4 picks, 1 sub, best aggregate score wins.
Yeah, but I figured I already missed the first week so it wouldn't be fair to pick members now. Plus I already get annoyed enough at my Fantasy football players, I don't need to spread that love to DPC. :P

That is a good point, the rule is useless. :)
Add all nine % finishes and divide by 9!
I think I thought it was a good idea, because at the end of 9 weeks, I would only have to post those who completed all challenges, instead of checking all entrants.
