After having mis-hit my tee shot, then losing it right in front of the tee and taking a drop, I seem to have hit my ball into the creek over on the right. I'll just wander over that way and see if I can locate it...
(I'm up to a rousing 4.4 now! There's hope I might be able to hit the ball out of the water if I can find it... yes?)
I'm sitting 4 way off the fairway behind a big old tree with a sand trap left and a water hazard right. Unless I pull off this miracle behind the back shot with my 5 wood, this ones gonna be a mulligan for me too.
Hit the tree but made it to the edge of the fairway crawling to 5.000 at 75 votes. Unfortunately that's still 250 yards from the hole and looks like I'm already at par. Hoping there are a lot of duffers on the course today, so my percentile finish is not too too far below my handicap.

I'd let you down, however. I think my hot streak is over :D
scores have been wickedly low recently. As someone pointed out, there were two scores under 6.0 in the top ten for Back to School and the average score was 5.1x. In the last 20 challenges there were 4 challenges with an average of 5.1x -- which is well below site average. The 20 previous challenges only had 1 5.1x challenge. I think people are in a bad mood because summer is over. (I'm fine with my score, it's just that so many challenges seem to be getting hit recently.)
Overall low scores should be less of a concern in this tourney, since scoring is based on your percentage placement in relation to your average, not your numerical score. If everyone is low, your percentile finish may be closer to your average than you think, cutting the damage from a bad shot. The winner may be the one who controls their low scores the best -- which is why entering crap may be better than not entering at all.

Course I won't have a clue what that means until rollover, which is another fun aspect of the tourney. I'd be happy with a triple bogey as my floor score, especially with eight more holes to turn it into a mulligan. Anything better will be a gift.
Rules: 9 weeks of Open Challenges Score will be based on your percentile finish, not on the average attained by your photo.
Handicap determined by the average percentile finish of your last ten challenges.
Every 5% improvement in your finish compared to your handicap scores as -1.0
Every 5% reduction in your finish compared to your handicap scores as +1.0
For example:
If in my last ten challenge entries, my average percentile finish is 70%, 70 is my handicap.
After the first hole, if my finish in the challenge is 25th out of 100, I am in the 75th percentile, a 5% improvement on my handicap. I score -1.0 for the hole.
After 9 holes, the lowest score wins.
Extra Rules: Users with 4-10 challenges will have a handicap of the average of however many challenges they have entered so far.
Users with 0-3 challenges entered will start with a handicap of 50%, but the handicap will be revised after their first 4 challenges.
All users have two mulligans (you can scrap your worst two scores after the 9 holes are done, or you can miss up to two challenges without it hurting your score).
If you miss more than two challenges, the percentile score entered will be 0%.
Start Date: The first hole will be for the challenges announced at midnight on September 8th, and submitted on September 15th, and will continue for each round of open challenges for 9 weeks until the tournament is done.
I expect it won't be included, but I'll leave that up to the tournament director to decide. :)
I'll be waiting as well as I have an ok idea for nude and no idea for the others :( Yup, its an open challenge so would like to see it included (however, has anybodt tried to enter the 'normal' open challenges and nude? (you can normally only enter one open per week).
I would imagine you could enter one of the opens and the Nude. The regular opens are "exclusive" indicating that you can only enter one of them, but the other is just "open."
