Finally figured out how to get the higher ISOs on the Canon T1i. Two ISO 12800 shots to share, both taken indoors with indoor lighting only.
The first is of our wedding cake topper in our "crystal" display case.
The second is of a Ty beanie baby bear "dressed" by my daughter sitting next to a glass-encased rose.
No idea of what to do editing-wise with these - the camera does a pretty good job of minimizing grain - although lots of texture in the wallpaper of Bear Rose, plus the wood grain of the rose stand and cabinet generated a fair amount - I also lightened this shot a lot using Levels, so maybe that is what brought out the graininess.
I have to apologize I've had a very busy month. But I wanted to sumbit at least one photo since I said I would participate.
shot tonight at 6400 ISO. You have to like it when you can get just enough exposure and shutter speed to still get what you need when the lighting stinks.
Me too. Busy, but also discouraged by first boring attempt. I wanted to do something like Cynthiann's "soaring," which used the iso to artistic advantage. This is what I did get, this time with the Pentax at 1600.
