This chap sits atop a rather splendid local church in the local Market Town of Woburn.
The town dates back to the 14th century although the abbey associated with the town is 10th century with records showing a settlement in the 9th century so
fairly old. This church however is not old at all being built in 1868 after a previous one was pulled down.
We were driving along yesterday, because it was such a nice day. All of a sudden my husband steps on the brake and puts the car into reverse. Then he tells me that I need to photograph this for my "Where I Live" series.
I am willing to bet that no else will have pics like these.
See the pile of wood chips below ... now closely look at the telephone line and what is growing THROUGH it.
Edit to add for those that are confused ... apparently the tree branches grew right around the lines and encapsulated them. Very recently, probably the power company, someone cut down the tree and all that remains is the lines with two small pieces of wood just sitting there in the middle of nowhere with a pile of shredded wood underneath them.
I have not had as much time as I would like to be an active participant in this Side-challenge. I will do my best to do more commenting. Here are some images that were taken earlier this year.
