I've got this really great piece of black velvet that I love to use for these shots. My folio is already full of black background stuff. But as I am currently unemployed and not finding work very quickly, maybe I'll get to work on a few new ones.
I'm not participating in this SC, but I just wanted to commend everybody for such excellent work. There are countless awesome photos in this SC already and it's just two days old!
I like the results in this challenge, so I thought I'd throw some old images in... plus I'm a total comment whore! :)

shot this during "14 days of point and shoot"
shot this for "color in Black and White". I thought of the challenge in a more abstract way than most, I guess. I was thinking of capturing the "sense" of color through emotion, rather than taking a normally colorful object in black and white. But...it fits in here.
But I have a portfolio full of things I shot in black and I love sharing them. I do have an obsession with marshmallow peeps, and they seem to shine best in front of blackness.
I spent more time on this image than I should have. But I'm pleased with the outcome.
