Is anyone else confused by tonight's format?
I don't get the duets-- I know its a time filler, but why not have each contestant sing 2 songs solo-- I don't get it?
Yeah I agree, Now Danny gets half the credit for Chris's best performance of the night.

Simon, in a magazine interview, said he thought Danny would win over Adam.
I hope he's right. Adam has enough of it all to make it to the top on his own.
Danny is my favorite and would be a wonderful 'idol'.
Chris makes up the third although I'd buy an album of his over Adam's any day... and Allison, is good, but not polished enough to go any further. I think she's in there solely because she's female and they need one.
I really like Kris he has really grown since the beginning... Danny is good but he didn't do so well tonight he reminds me more of a lounge singer. Adam is the true talent this season. Allison needs to mature a bit more and get rid of the bottom braces that prevents her sounding out certain letters (like S). Allison and Adam did do a great duet tonight, I agreed with judges, they should cut a song together.
Wow...bit of a surprise tonight. I really thought (I and believe most people thought) that Kris would be gone.
It's so hard at this point to choose. I am very sad to see Alison go :( I would have preferred to see one of the guys go home and have her stick around at least one more week. She certainly went out on a high note...figuretively. When she's old enough to put into every song the emotion she did in her farewell encore, she'll be dynamite. She took all of that feeling from the farewell and just rocked that song with it IMO.
based on this weeks performances I thought for sure kris was gone. Allison will be okthough. She is going to be a huge star. The record companies are lined up outside her door this morning.
Danny is do to arrive in Milwaukee sometime today or this evening, They just showed his schedule for tomorrow after some tv and radio interviews he gets to spend some time with his family and friends then he goes out on a tour of the city, he will be performing a concert then singing the national anthem at the Brewers vs Cubs game at Miller Park.
I think Kris made is just on his sweet humility. Allison is a fabulous performer but I think lacked the poise that some age and experience will bring. I thought her duet with Adam was just too fine for words. Actually, I liked the entire night, even Danny's scream note. I mean, listen to Steven Tyler do it. It's a scream!!!
Are we projecting Adam as the winner? He has been a judge favorite since the beginning. I think it will end up being between him and Danny.
I'm still reeling from Paula Abdul's horrendous lip-sync extravaganza. Man. You'd think that being a judge of a singing competition, she'd insist on actually singing. I liked the song, but I would have LOVED to have seen the camera catch Simon's reaction to her "performance." It was like Britney Spears on acid or something.

Not only was the lip syncing bad but the recording was so heavily distorted that the computer it was created on should sue for copyright. At least she can move around to some of the most cliche chorography known to man (glad she's not a chorographer on So You Think You Can Dance?).

Yeah, she was a little manic, but at least it felt like a live concert. I had recorded the episode and had to fast forward about 20 seconds into Paula's performance. It was dreadful.
LOL I must stop looking in this thread and finding out stuff that hasn't screened here in NZ yet! If you find me lurking about in here give me a good telling of and kick me out before I find out anymore advance information :)
as others have said earlier in this thread. Adams style wears out fast. He is good no doubt however the screaming gets old after awhile. He needs to change things up a little bit more or he will not last long. I still think he stands the best chance of winning next week unless he really screws up his songs.
Paula's song choice sucked for Danny. I always feel bad for the people for whom she picks!
I love Danny, but I was worried about him last week. Kris has really grown throughout the competition. Danny was good to start with, and hasn't changed that much. Though I still like him.
I think it's a shame that Adam likes the hard, screamy stuff. I do think he's a truly incredible talent, but I don't like his choices. I was blown away by some of the softer, ballad songs--but I doubt we'll be seeing much of those in the future. I hope I'm wrong.
