Here's one place to go shoot: a friend of mine who has a huge lovely old Victorian redbrick, scenic old barn and outbuildings, (gingerbread and all), horses (Fifi and her Mam, two giant Clydesdales), dogs (three Standard poodles covering the greyscale,lol) and a section of property that she would really love to get photographed before all the foliage comes out.
If nothing else, Max, I figure we might be able to shoot at that locale on Thursday, then head to the Marlborough for supper.
If anyone else might want to shoot at this locale, PM me for details. And yes, you would be welcome to join us at the Marlborough too!

I got your PM and responded, I wished that I could make it... but it's one of the only weekend that I can't... :(
I moved in the Montreal area last year (from Val-d'Or) but I have a daughter that still lives there and she is due to have her second child any day now... I already told her that I will be in Val-d'Or this coming friday and that I will spend at least 4 or 5 days with her.
If there's another GTG in Ottawa or even in Toronto later this summer I will try very hard to make it there :)

Dear Alain sir, if your going to have a reason for not being able to make it to a GTG you happen to have the best reason that I could think to have. The birth of a child is a
wondrous occasion and I wish you and your daughters family all the best in the coming days as well as a safe and happy entry into this big beautiful world for your new grandchild. I hope
you have a great time with your family. We will miss you but we will do this again, of that I'm sure :) I'm sure you will have lots of photos to show us when you return from you visit.
I second that, a truly legitimate excuse for missing a gtg.
Sounds likeralph can join us, though, so long as it's not Thursday - that's his anniversary! :-)
I talked to my customer and told them I'll not be at their house at all on Thursday so I can leave early Thursday morning and get to Ottawa and do all my running around when I arrive that
day so I'll have all of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday to do stuff with my photography friends. So let the good times roll :)
