Down from where it was, but I'll take it. :) Is it just me, or are voters on the site getting harsher and harsher over time? I've been here a few years now, and it seems like shots are being judged MUCH more critically than before...

I have to admit, I'm giving points in this challenge a little more conservatively than I usually do.
People have submitted pics of anything and everything because hey, what photo doesn't have light in it? Not all that many have made attempts to go beyond the fact that their photo used light photons in its capture.
Those who have really stand out. Even though I'm in a minority here, I consider the thinking behind the photos when I give points rather than just "ooooh, so pretty".

It sounds very interesting to me too, but when you do a self DQ, does anyone see that it was your photo after challenge/votes end?

I think you have to request a DQ and as a result I suspect it may well get treated in the same way as a rule violation DQ so I would ask SC before doing such a thing.

In any case does it really matter if you have a score that isn't too well on this ocasion?
Personally I'm heading towards the Brown Ribbon on the FS but hey it's not a life or death situation
